TNP’s specialized water resources team consists of Certified Floodplain Managers, senior engineering personnel, and technical specialists. Our engineers have access to state-of-the-art software applications, including HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XP-SWMM, GIS Applications in Water Resources (GeoHMS & GeoRAS), PondPack, and StormCAD. The firm serves a wide variety of municipal and private clients, and has studied and designed many different types of drainage systems, including systems for new subdivisions, storm drain and culvert systems for roadway projects, detention ponds, remedial drainage improvements to correct flooding or erosion problems, and detention systems for site development projects. TNP also has extensive storm water master planning experience, and our firm serves as drainage engineer for various municipalities, reviewing drainage and floodplain development studies and plans, providing design services, and serving as a consultant on a variety of drainage-related topics.

TNP has many years of experience obtaining mapped floodplain changes. Map change services include LOMA, LOMR-F, C-LOMR and LOMR applications, and elevation certificates for both public and private entities. In addition, TNP has assisted its client cities in obtaining and maintaining CRS certification as well as helping to ensure compliance with governing NFIP regulations.
